How did you meet?
Alastair and I met many years ago when he joined the company I worked for, I trained him on the company systems. He will always say I caught his eye then but in all honesty, I didn’t remember him. Years later we became work friends as we were allocated to work on the same project. That friendship over years turned into more and we decided to see if there was more . . . It turns out there was and since we have both left for different careers.

Alastair always knew I never wanted anything elaborate or in public. I cry very easily (as Helen found out when choosing my wedding dress) and couldn’t bare for strangers to see that. Anyways Alastair works shifts and was on a night shift night before. He was supposed to be home by 7am but messaged to say he had been stuck at a job and would be very late. Little did I know he really was making his way up to Hatton Garden in London to pick up my ring. He finally gets home at 2pm and goes straight to sleep. He was adamant he wanted to cook that night so after 3 hours was back up. When he woke up I asked if we could sort out some holiday bits as we were flying to Barbados a few days later. He then said it can all wait as . . . He then got down on one knee, I burst into tears, he gave this amazing speech and I said YES! He then told me I had an hour to get ready as we had dinner booked at The Ivy to celebrate.
How did you choose where to shop for your wedding dress?
I always had my heart set on a dress by Galia Lahav and only 1 shop in London stocked them. I had a specific dress shipped over from Italy as I was convinced it was the one. Guess what it wasn’t. While waiting for that appointment I thought why not see what a more local store has and found Isabella Grace. Helen was my consultant and she instantly knew what I was looking for. I tried on lots of different types of dresses that day and even cried while in a Martina Liana one (which turned out to be the one) but I cry easily and really wanted to try the dress I had shipped over in. I finally had my appointment in the London store and was so disappointed none of these dresses compared to the Martina Liana dress I cried in. So I went back to Isabella Grace and as soon as I was in the dress I cried, my Mum looked at me and said the words “Are you saying yes to the dress!!!!” I cried and said YES!!! I must say Helen was amazing and I feel so lucky she was my consultant.
Tell us about your wedding dress experience, and why did you choose your wedding dress.
Oops already answered this in the one above but it was one of the best experiences of the whole process
Describe your wedding day. Where, when, how…
We got married at on a beautifully warm sunny day at Wotton House in Surrey last September. Our vows were made our outside in front of our friends and family. We had the most delicious 4 course meal and then in the evening we danced away, had too much to drink and consumed lots of ben and jerry’s ice cream. Which was all fabulously captured in lots of photos and a 2 wedding videos for the perfect memories.

Not a thing, it was perfect!
Your top tip for future brides?
Try and not worry on the day, what will be will be and it’s too late to change it. Have faith you did everything and it does all come together. Enjoy every minute and get as much time with your Groom as you can because the whole day goes way too quick.
